Phillip Jackson Worship Pastor
Q. How do you get your hair to stand up so straight?
A. My hair has a life of its own. You might say I live in a perpetual state of bed head.

Q. Who’s your favorite Christian artist?
A. That’s a toss-up – it’s so hard to choose! I would say Shane and Shane or Hillsong are in my most-played on my iTunes, but there are so many great artists that many people have never heard of: Nichole Nordeman, Plumb, Chasing Furies. Currently I’m listening to a new husband-and-wife team named Brian and Katie Torwalt. Honorable mention to Alberto and Kimberly Rivera, who are also anointed worship leaders.

Q. How did you meet Jaci?
A. We have known each other since serving together in our youth group in high school. We were married in 2003 when Jaci couldn’t deny her love for me any longer!

Q. How did you end up at CITG?
A. Jaci and I were called to join the team at CITG after serving for 5 years in various capacities as Music Director/Choir Director at the Royal Palm Beach campus of Christ Fellowship. Prior to that I traveled full-time for seven years with an evangelistic ministry based in Miami leading worship five days a week and leading street evangelism.

Q. What do you do when you’re not leading worship at CITG?
A. I am a programmer and enterprise-level application developer for a private company in Boca Raton. I also produce and coach local bands in their songwriting, production, and recording.

Q. Who inspires you?
A. My mother is my greatest example in my life, in her passion for Christ and her devotion to us, her family.

Q. If you had to change your name, what would you change it to and why?
A. I’ve often thought about what it would be like for people to refer to me as they do famous authors such as F. Scott Fitzgerald, but “P. Wilson Jackson” just doesn’t have the same kind of ring to it…

Q. Name one thing on your bucket list.
A. I’d love to visit Israel some day and walk in the very steps of Christ.

Q. What’s your earliest memory?
A. My little sister coming home from the hospital as a newborn. I was 18 months old!
